Caring for the places where we work and live
Customers tell us they love Fareway’s small-town feel, even when our stores are located in larger cities. They like knowing that when they have a question or concern, they don’t just speak with the “manager,” they talk with Jeff (or Don…or Angie, or any of our fantastic grocery and meat market managers).
But true community involvement goes beyond knowing customers on a first-name basis. Fareway employees have earned a reputation for being solid, ethical citizens who are an asset to the communities in which they live. The idea of helping our friends and neighbors forms the foundation of two of our company values:
- We support and partner with local businesses, communities and farmers.
- We donate time and resources to charitable organizations both large and small.
It’s why you’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables grown by area farmers in our produce section whenever possible. It’s why you’ll see Jeff (or Don…or Angie) helping to build a playground at a local school or volunteering for a church food drive. And it’s why we support several worthwhile charities who are working to make a difference in all of our hometowns.
