Fareway

The Dyersville Fareway recently presented  check for $1,926 to the Dyersville Health Foundation. Donations were accepted during a cook-out hosted by Fareway to benefit the Mercy - Dyersville emergency department.

The Dyersville Health Foundation is currently working towards a $75,000 capital campaign for upgrades and renovations to the emergency department. Improvements will include transforming a current room into a “trauma bay” that will assist staff in stabilizing and triaging critical care patients; repaving the parking lot to ensure a smooth ride for patients being transported; and remodeling the waiting room to provide a comfortable environment with modern amenities.

“We are proud to support the Dyersville Health Foundation,” said Dyersville Fareway Store Manager Bill Mulcahy. “Thanks to those that attended the cook-out and provided monetary contributions to help further the emergency department capital campaign. We also appreciate our vendor partners who made the cook-out possible, including: Pepsi, Dr Pepper, First Avenue Bakery, Bimbo Bakery, Pan-O-Gold, Deep River Snacks and Frito Lay.”

“We are grateful to Fareway for their partnership in making the cook-out a success,” said Liz Heins, Dyersville Health Foundation. “The necessary funds needed for the emergency department improvements will go a long way in serving our community for years to come
