Mike joined Fareway in 1997 and serves as the executive vice president of human resources and non-retail operations. He has also served on Fareway’s Board of Directors for 17 years and is the Chairman of Fareway’s Group Insurance Benefit Trust.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He currently volunteers in various leadership roles for United Way, YMCA, and the Central Iowa Workforce Investment Board, among others.
Mike lives in Marshalltown, Iowa with his wife, Phyllis, and they have two daughters, Lauren, who is married to Tyler, and Regan.
