NEWS RELEASE (April 26th, 2024) – Fareway Stores, Inc. announced plans to construct an approximately 17,000 square foot store at the southeast corner of 1st Street and Route 6 in Coal Valley, IL. This project is tentatively planned for 2026.

The new store will provide for only the best in fresh, highest quality meat; a full-service butcher counter; farm-fresh produce; low, competitive prices; and the highest level of customer service, including to-your-car carryout. The new store will offer FastLanes, a self-service checkout option, and online shopping and curbside pick-up, available at
