Fareway Meat & Grocery is closed on Sundays. Students value this long-standing policy because it provides a dedicated day of rest that helps them balance school, activities, work, and personal time. With one guaranteed day each week to recharge, our team members can stay focused and energized.
Time to Focus on School
Fareway stores close to the public by 9 PM Monday through Saturday. After completing closing duties, employees head home at a reasonable hour. This helps students avoid late-night or overnight shifts so they can dedicate more time to homework, studying, and personal commitments.

Students involved in sports, clubs, volunteer activities, or community programs can count on Fareway for flexible scheduling. We support involvement in meaningful activities and do our best to accommodate academic calendars and extracurricular activities. Fareway invests in the future of its team members. Every year, we award more than $100,000 in scholarships to eligible employees and children of employees. Our Fast Forward program also provides student loan reimbursement for qualifying employees.
In addition, Fareway partners with colleges and universities to offer tuition assistance opportunities. Students can apply for scholarships for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
Internship Opportunities
