Mississippi Chicken

  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar pepperoncini peppers, with juice
  • 1/4 cup butter. sliced (1/2 stick)

  1. Add onions to slow cooker and place chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle with au jus and ranch dressing mix. Add pepperoncini peppers and top with sliced butter. 

  2. Cook on HIGH for 3–4 hours or LOW for 6–7 hours.

Instant Pot® Directions

  1. Add onions to Instant Pot and place chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle with au jus and ranch dressing mix. Add pepperoncini peppers and top with sliced butter.

  2. Set Instant Pot to MANUAL and cook for 8 minutes. Natural release pressure for 5 minutes, then quick-release remaining steam.
