Cast Iron Skillet Garlic & Brown Sugar Pork Chops

This cast iron pork chop has all the flavor of a grilled pork chop without the hassle of watching the grill. Perfect for any season!

Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in pork loin chops, 1 inch thick (about 3/4 lb. each)
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In small bowl, mix rub ingredients. Pat rub mix onto each side of both chops.

In a cast iron skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Place chops into skillet and brown each side for 2 minutes. Place skillet in the oven and bake for 4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Let chops rest 3 minutes before slicing and serving.
