Chicken Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes with chicken are a great alternative for a hearty sandwich without the added cholesterol! 

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tsp Cookies Flavor Enhancer
  • 2 can chicken broth
  • 2 cup Cookies BBQ Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp water

Directions

  1. Cut chicken to fit in a large crockpot.
  2. Add bell pepper, onion, Flavor Enhancer, and chicken broth.
  3. Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours, or until chicken falls off the bone.
  4. When chicken is done, shred with two forks.
  5. Place meat pieces in sauce pan and add 1 ½ cups of the broth from crockpot and BBQ sauce.
  6. Bring to a low boil. Mix cornstarch with cold water and add to chicken to thicken.
  7. Serve on buns.
