  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Mince onion, bell pepper and garlic.
  2. Brown ground beef with onion, green pepper, and garlic.
  3. Add mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Combine tomato paste and 1/3 cup water and add to hamburger mixture.
  5. Add more water if desired.
  6. Cover, turn heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve on hamburger buns.
