Grinder Salad Sandwich

This viral recipe is taking over the internet! Pairing up the fan favorite grinder into a veggie packed sandwich. Let the family make their own, grabbing their favorite meats, and get everyone involved in the kitchen.


  • 1/2 C. Mayo
  • 1 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/3 C. Pepperoncini Peppers
  • 1/3 C. Parmesan Cheese
  • 3-4 C. Iceberg Lettuce


  • 1 Large Loaf Crusty Italian Bread
  • 4 oz. Sliced Colby Jack Cheese
  • 1/4 lb. Salame
  • 1/4 lb. Capocollo
  • 1/4 lb. Turkey Breast thinly shaved
  • 4 oz. Prosciutto
  • 1 medium Tomato
Grinder Salad Sandwich


  1. In a large bowl add the salad dressing ingredients. Once well combined, add in the shredded iceberg lettuce and using tongs, toss until the salad is coated. 

  2. While the grinder salad marinates, prep the hoagie by preheating your toaster oven, oven or air fryer to 425 degrees.

  3. Slice the hoagie roll through the middle.

  4. Layer the sliced cheese, deli meats and toast for 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and bread is toasted.

  5. Take the sliced tomato and add on top of the toasted deli meats.  Season tomatoes with a little salt and pepper.

  6. Top the seasoned tomatoes with the grinder salad and additional grated parmesan.
