  • 2 clove garlic

Homemade broth is a great way to use scraps and bones from the Thanksgiving turkey.

Preparation Notes

Use broth in any recipe that calls for chicken broth.

Directions

  1. Place bones and scraps from the turkey along with a coarsely chopped onion, garlic cloves, carrots and celery into a large stock pot. Cover with water.

  2. Add bay leaf and cover. Simmer for 2 hours.

  3. Remove bones and strain broth. Season with salt and pepper as desired.

  4. Refrigerate and discard the fat what will raise to the top after the broth has chilled.
