  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cup kale
  • 3 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 jalapeƱo, chopped and seeded
  • 1 tsp large avocado, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Adding kale to guacamole is a leap of faith, but we promise it's better than it sounds! In fact, kale brings a refreshing zing to the molcajete and a whole new level of green pigments.


  1. In a food processor, add garlic, onion and kale; blend until smooth.

  2. Add cilantro, parsley and jalapeño; continue processing until smooth.

  3. Pour processed mixture into a bowl; add chopped avocado;

  4. Mash until entire mixture is creamy and combined well.

  5. Stir in lemon juice, chopped tomato, salt, and pepper.
