Kerrygold Caramel Sundae

Enjoy these easy Caramel Sundaes using only three ingredients for that sweet caramel sauce--brown sugar, Kerrygold Unsalted Butter, and cream.  In just 10 minutes, you'll be enjoying a cooling and caramel filled treat! 

Kerrygold Caramel Sundae

  • 1/2 cup crushed walnuts, pecans, or almonds
  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (8 Tbsp.) Kerrygold Unsalted Butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. In a small skillet, toast the nuts until fragrant. Shut off the heat and set it aside. 
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the brown sugar, Kerrygold Unsalted Butter, and cream over medium until the butter is melted. 
  3. Bring the sauce to a simmer, constantly stirring, until the sauce is smooth, about 2-3 minutes; shut off the heat and set aside. 
  4. Stir the caramel sauce in heat until smooth. 
  5. In a bowl, add two scoops of ice cream. Drizzle the ice cream sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with nuts and serve immediately.
