  • 5 pound boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package sandwich buns

Pulled pork is used in so many recipes, it's a good idea to have a go-to, foolproof recipe on hand. This is Fareway's perfect pulled pork! 

Directions

  1. Combine all seasonings in a small bowl and rub evenly over roast.

  2. Place meat in 6-quart crock pot.

  3. Add water.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, or until pork is very tender and pulls apart with a fork (145°F internal temperature).

  5. Let pork rest for 10-15 minutes, then shred with two forks.

  6. Serve on buns with barbeque sauce.
