Salmon with Honey Brown Butter Sauce

Salmon with Honey Brown Butter Sauce

  • 4 Tbsp. Kerrygold┬« Salted Butter
  • 4 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. freshly minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. ginger paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Kerrygold┬« Salted Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 4 4 ounce salmon fillets
  • to taste salt and freshly ground pepper
  • for serving Lemon wedges
Salmon with Honey Brown Butter Sauce

  1. Place 4 tablespoons Kerrygold® Salted butter in a small pan.
  2. Cook butter until it foams and starts to turn brown. 
  3. When it starts to foam, add the garlic and ginger and stir constantly. 
  4. Watch it carefully, when it starts to turn brown and nutty in aroma, remove it from the heat and whisk in the honey. Set aside.
  5. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  6. In a cast iron pan, add butter and oil to pan and heat over medium heat. When butter is melted and oil hot, add salmon fillets to pan skin side down. 
  7. Cook for 4 minutes and then spoon a tablespoon of sauce over each salmon fillet.
  8. Cook for additional 3-4 minutes or until fillet is firm to the touch.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Serve with additional sauce and lemon wedges.
