  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 Tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 bottle Shock Top® Lemon Shandy
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Ask your Fareway Meat Expert to remove back and tail from chicken, if desired.

  2. Combine butter, olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon zest, 1 clove minced garlic, and 1 tsp chopped parsley and gently pull skin away from chicken breast and thighs.

  3. Place rub under skin.

  4. Combine Shock Top® Lemon Shandy, the juice of a lemon, garlic, and parsley and place chicken, breast side down, in marinade for at least 4 hours, up to overnight.

  5. Grill chicken over a medium-hot grill, breast side down, for 5 to 10 minutes, or until slightly charred.

  6. Flip chicken over (breast side up) and grill over medium-low heat for 35-45 minutes, or until the internal temperature in the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F.
