  • 4 5 ounce tuna steaks
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • 4 hamburger or bakery buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes, sliced

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Pat tuna steaks dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Add tuna to skillet.
  4. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes
  5. Flip and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly toast buns.
  7. Top with mayonnaise.
  8. Add tuna, lettuce, and tomatoes.
  9. Serve.
