Egg Roll in a Bowl

Create your favorite side dish at home! This egg roll in a bowl is simple, delicious and quick to make. 


  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger, minced
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 2 tsp. hot sauce, such as sriracha, optional
  • 1 (14 oz.) bag coleslaw
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • To taste salt and pepper
  • Optional Toppings: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, wonton strips

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, cook 2–3 minutes.

Add garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add ground pork and Sriracha, if desired. Cook and crumble until pork is cooked through, 7–10 minutes.

Add coleslaw mix, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, salt and pepper. Stir until well combined. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender, 5 minutes.

Serve with desired toppings.
