Mike McCormick began his Fareway career in 1991 in his hometown of Winterset. Mike attended the University of Northern Iowa and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management, while working part time. Since graduation, Mike has worked his way through a number or retail store and corporate level roles, and has been in his current role of chief retail officer (CRO) since 2021. Mike serves as consultant for the board of directors and oversees several departments of Fareway, including direct store delivery, wholesale purchasing, category management, and marketing.
Mike is a member of the Iowa Grocery Industry Association and has served on various committees in support of the association. Mike is also involved in and supportive of several charitable organizations including, Variety and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Mike currently serves as a board member of the Better Business Bureau of Iowa.
Mike and his wife, Andrea, reside in Ankeny and are the proud parents of two children, Madisyn and Cael. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends and loves to spend summer days at the lake.
