Nathan Kerns serves as the Executive Vice President, Information Technology at Fareway, where he has been a part of the IT organization since joining the company in May 2009. Under his leadership, the department supports over 12,000 employees across seven states, driving strategic technology initiatives that align with Fareway’s business goals. Nathan is responsible for shaping the company’s IT vision, strategy, and operations, with a focus on secure, cost-effective solutions that enable enterprise-wide efficiency and innovation.
Beyond his role at Fareway, Nathan is actively engaged in the broader technology and education communities. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Technology Association of Iowa, the Gilbert Community School Board and the Scouting America Mid-Iowa Council Board of Directors, in addition to contributing to various other boards and committees. He is also a committed supporter of several charitable organizations.
Prior to Fareway, Nathan held multiple leadership roles at Best Buy Co., Inc., spanning both retail and corporate functions. He is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded a business with his wife.
