Rob holds a Master of Science from NC State and a certificate in HR Management from Duke University. He is a Certified Benefits Professional and am a proud graduate of both the African American Leadership and the Iowa Grocery Industry Association Leadership Institute.
Prior to Fareway, Rob was a Human Resource Manager at Iowa State University for the College of Agriculture. Rob's career experience includes being a Benefits Manager at UNC Chapel Hill and a background in Benefits Consulting and Employee Recognition Management from my time at NC State.
Rob serves as the Assistant Vice President of Employee Engagement and Recognition for Fareway Stores Inc., with focus on enhancing employee engagement strategies and improving processes to support the company’s mission.
Rob serves on the Blank Park Zoo Board of Directors, the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce Board, the Ankeny Chamber Multicultural Taskforce, the Ankeny School District School Improvement Advisory Committee, the Ankeny School District Equity Committee and serve as the team parent for the Koach All Stars Cheer Squad.
Rob's wife, Mandy and I have lived in Ankeny, Iowa, since 2020 with their two Ankeny Hawk students: Ella and Lydia. Their oldest, Colton, is an Army National Guard Veteran and lives in North Carolina. Outside of work Rob enjoys giving back to the community as a member of many boards and committees.
