NEW LOCATION IN MONMOUTH
New store to be located at North 6th Street and US 34
NEWS RELEASE (Monmouth, IL) – Fareway Stores, Inc. announced that it anticipates opening a 21,000 square foot grocery store to be located at the northeast corner of North 6th Street and US 34 in Monmouth. The store will provide for an unmatched, full-service meat counter; farm-fresh produce; and the highest level of customer service, all at low, competitive prices.

Greiner. “While project details are still being vetted, we appreciate the efforts of the City of Monmouth and other stakeholders to work with us on a location, and look forward to navigating the public process to make this new store a reality.”
“The residents and shoppers of Monmouth will benefit from this new private investment in the community, which will result in the recapture of local sales tax revenues that are currently being lost to the east,” said City of Monmouth Mayor Rod Davies.
The store is anticipated to be complete by early 2019.
