NEWS RELEASE (July 17th, 2024) – Fareway Stores, Inc. hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday for a new store located at the southwest corner of Highway 18 and Division Street in Hull. The 10,600 square foot store provides for a full-service butcher counter and the highest level of customer service. An impressive grocery selection, with fresh-cut produce, healthy varieties, and locally sourced items, in addition to a variety of craft beer, fine wines, and top-shelf spirits will be available.

The store will provide Fastlanes, a self-service checkout option, and online ordering with curbside pickup available at Shop.Fareway.com. Customers can save on their first online order by using the code, HULLFIVE, to realize a $5 discount available through August 17, 2024.

“Communities depend on a local grocer to offer high quality products and unmatched service,” said Fareway President Garrett Piklapp, “We look forward to serving area residents of Hull and want to thank city staff and community leaders for helping make this project possible.”

Hull Mayor Arlan Moss echoed positive comments regarding the store’s opening, “We are excited to welcome Fareway to Hull. Our residents have been waiting for a local grocery store committed to great customer service and our small-town values,” said Moss. Our City Council, City Staff, HIDC and individual citizens have been very committed to having Fareway come to Hull to meet the needs of our town. “We want to thank Fareway for their investment and commitment to making Hull a great place to live.”

The new store will be managed by Grocery Manager Troy Marty and Market Manager Tyler Benning. The store is open to the public beginning Wednesday, July 17th during normal store hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
