NEWS RELEASE (August, 30) – Fareway Stores, Inc. hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony yesterday for its new store in LeClaire. Fareway renovated the approximately 18,000 square foot former Slagle’s store located at 1301 Eagle Ridge Road.
“We are excited to join and serve the community of LeClaire,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Cramer. “We want to thank the community and local officials for their support in welcoming Fareway to LeClaire.”
“Area residents have been eagerly anticipating a community grocery store with some of the freshest meat and produce in the market,” said City of LeClaire Mayor Dennis Gerard. “Thank you for continuing to serve and invest in the community of LeClaire.”
The new Fareway location will provide for an impressive grocery selection, with fresh-cut produce, healthy varieties, and locally sourced items, in addition to a variety of craft beer, fine wines, and top-shelf spirits. A second-to-none, full-service butcher counter with only the best in highest quality meat and a made-fresh-daily bakery will be available. The store will be managed by Grocery Manager Jeremy Wight and Market Manager Justin Nielson. The location opens to the public on Wednesday, August 30 during normal business hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
