NEWS RELEASE (March 12, 2024) – Two statewide Fareway representatives from Iowa and Nebraska had the honor of competing at the National Best Bagger Championship at the National Grocer’s Association show in Las Vegas yesterday, March 11, 2024. Elite baggers from across the country vied for the championship title and a $10,000 cash prize.
“It’s incredible to see employees like Harrison and Nolan represent Fareway on a statewide and national platform like the National Best Bagger Competition,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Cramer. “Qualifying and making it to the national competition is an exceptional accomplishment and I’m proud to have them representing Fareway. They made us very proud throughout the competition.”
Representing Fareway from Nebraska was Nolan McGregor. Nolan has been with Fareway since October 2016 and is currently full-time at the Papillion location. McGregor graduated from Western Tech Community College and would like to become a Fareway Grocery Manager in the future. McGregor primarily assists in produce, but is trained in all other aspects of the store, including providing great customer service. In his spare time, McGregor enjoys cooking, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.
Representing Fareway from Iowa was Harrison Dahm. Harrison has worked part-time at the Denison location since May 2018. He primarily assists on the sales floor, helping customers, and working the front-end. Harrison is a sophomore at Iowa State University studying Industrial Engineering. Dahm’s future goals include gaining new experiences and having an impact in the industry he works in. In his spare time, Dahm likes to attend college basketball and football games and golf in the summer.
The event was livestreamed through the National Grocer’s Association Facebook page. Congratulations to Nolan and Harrison on qualifying and representing Fareway and their respective states proudly in this year’s competition.
