Find answers to common questions about applying for jobs at Fareway.

How do I apply for a position?

You will need to complete a Fareway application to be considered for employment. To apply for a position, visit our Careers page and click on the "View Available Opportunities" hyperlink to be directed to our available job opportunities and applications.

How old do I need to be to work at Fareway?

At Fareway you must be age 14 years and older to work in our Grocery Department. You must be 18 years or older to work in the Meat Department, or the Bakery Department.

What happens after I apply for a position?

Once you have submitted your application online, it is sent directly to the store and the specific department you applied with for the management team to review. 

How do I know if my application was received?

After submitting your application you will receive an email confirming your application was successfully submitted and received. 

How do I check on the status of my application?

To check on the status of your application, contact the store and department you applied with.

How do I apply for a position that is not posted?

To apply for a position that is not posted, you may send your resume to careers@farewaystores.com.

How can I access more job opportunities through my Applicant Portal?

To access more job opportunities through your applicant portal, click on the drop-down icon in the left-hand corner of the portal, navigate to My Jobs Portal, and then to Find Jobs. Once Find Jobs is selected, a full listing of all available opportunities will appear. 

How can I change my password within my Applicant Portal?

To change your password within your applicant portal, click on the drop-down icon in the left-hand corner of the portal, navigate to My Information, and then to Change Password. 

How do I change or update my password if I forgot my password and am unable to login to the Applicant Portal?

If you have forgotten your password to log into the applicant portal, you can update your password by selecting "Forgot Password" on the applicant portal login screen. 

How can I retrieve my username if I have forgotten what it is and am unable to login to the Applicant Portal?

You can retrieve your applicant portal username by selecting "Forgot Username?" on the applicant portal login screen. 

How can I view which applications and locations I have applied to?

To view which applications you have submitted to different Fareway locations, login to your applicant portal. Once logged into the portal, click the drop down icon in the left hand corner of the portal, navigate to My Jobs Portal, and then to My Applications. 

How long will my application be kept on file before I can re-apply to a specific job posting through the Applicant Portal system?

You may re-apply to a position through the applicant portal after 2 months from your original application submission.

How do I apply to work at a new store that will be opening, but the store isn’t listed on the job board yet?

To apply for a position at a new store, you may send your information to careers@farewaystores.com, or complete a paper application  and send it to the corporate office at :
