Reinvesting in the local communities we serve
Fareway got its start more than 80 years ago in Boone and we are proud to still call Boone County home today. Reinvesting in our local communities and encouraging economic and community development in Boone and the other communities where Fareway stores are located is important to both our history and future.
Year after year, Fareway continues to stand out as a leader in investing in our local communities. Contributing thousands of dollars and countless volunteer hours, we are grateful to the Fareway team for supporting Boone County Chamber initiatives and events that make Boone County a wonderful place to live and do business.
Fareway is a vital part of the Boone County community, just like our local healthcare system. The Boone County Hospital Foundation can always count on Fareway as an annual Silver Corporate Sponsor. When we ask for extra items to improve our events, they give without hesitation. We are grateful for all they do for our Foundation and the greater community.
All of us from across the college are delighted and grateful for the generous donation that Fareway has made to this exciting project. It will benefit the entire Boone community. The ‘Fareway Fieldhouse’ will include two basketball and volleyball courts, as well as three baseball and softball batting cages that will drop down from the fieldhouse ceiling. It will be a facility that we can be proud of for many years to come. We thank Fareway for all it does to support so many initiatives important to Iowa.
Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity is deeply grateful for the support of Fareway. Fareway and their employees have generously offered support both financially and by volunteering numerous hours on our jobsites, helping build affordable housing in Boone County. Fareway also graciously donated water to keep our volunteers cool and hydrated during the hot and dry build season. Heart of Iowa Habitat greatly appreciates Fareway’s willingness to partner with us and provide ongoing support to serve families in need.
