A Black & Tan, also called a Half & Half, is a pub favorite known for its flavor and presentation. These layered beer drinks are traditionally made with a pale ale or lager and a stout, highlighting the contrasting flavors in one perfectly poured pint.
Directions
Fill a pint class halfway with pale ale.
Hold a spoon upside down in the glass so it just touches the surface of the pale ale or lager.
Gently pour stout over back of the spoon so the two beverages stay separated.
