For the beef
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, grated
- 2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Mongolian Ground Beef Bowls are a sweet-savory favorite that are ready in record time. You can keep assembly simple with ready-to-eat toppings, but we highly recommend taking a few extra minutes to top each bowl with a fried egg.

Directions
For the Mongolian Beef
Heat a large pan over medium high heat. Add sesame oil. Add ground beef and cook until cooked through, 5–8 minutes. Drain any rendered fat, if necessary.
Add garlic and ginger and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the rice vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce and red pepper flakes. Cook until the liquid has thickened.
To assemble
Top cooked rice with ground beef and preferred toppings.
