Servings: 4
Total Time: 20 minutes + marinating time
Ingredients
- 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- optional: sesame seeds and Japanese BBQ sauce
One of the biggest advantages of salmon (aside from its health benefits), is how quickly it cooks. If you’re new to salmon, don’t underestimate the power of marinating it for a few hours to add flavor. Use any prepared teriyaki sauce to save time. To take it up on a notch, top Teriyaki Salmon with sesame seeds and serve with Japanese BBQ sauce.
Directions
1. Combine teriyaki sauce and garlic. Pour over salmon and marinate for 1–4 hours. Place fillets on a baking sheet and discard remaining marinade.
2. Bake at 400°F until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, 10–15 minutes depending on thickness.
3. Top with sesame seeds and Japanese BBQ sauce for serving, if desired.
