- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, divided (half in cake, half in topping)
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 egg
- NOTE do not add water listed on the box

Prepare cake mix according to package directions, adding 1 can of pumpkin. Do NOT add water as listed on package.
